Hey, I'm Justin Gratzfeld!

Before founding Unlocking Nutritional Longevity my journey was anything but ordinary. I started as a professional wakeboarder, coaching provincial and national-level athletes, but my path took an unexpected turn after sustaining multiple concussions. Those injuries led to permanent headaches and forced me to step away from competing.

Determined to stay active, I pursued a degree in kinesiology and became a firefighter, while continuing to play basketball five times a week and running 5K regularly. But life threw me another challenge when I contracted a rare brain infection from micro mold—a condition that only affects those with a history of concussions.

The infection left me fully paralyzed for 11 months. On April 26, 2021, I took my first steps with a walker. By July 16, I walked my first kilometer unaided, and in September, I ran 5 kilometers. By November, I had completed a marathon.

During this journey, I lost 80 pounds and dove deep into understanding what was happening to my body. The process of healing myself was overwhelming, navigating endless (and often conflicting) information about health and recovery.

That’s when I realized my purpose: to help others overcome their health struggles and take back control of their lives. I became a certified nutrition coach and personal trainer to simplify the path for others dealing with chronic illness, inflammation, or weight challenges.

Now, I’m here to guide you through your unique journey, helping you feel better, get stronger, and create a lifestyle you love because I know firsthand how transformative that journey can be. 🌟.
